Frequently Asked Questions
What do your plans include?
Both plans include multiple sets of comprehensive questionnaires designed to uncover nutritional deficiencies, potential conditions, and the root cause of your ailments. An HTMA test is also included in each price, which will test your hair for mineral deficiencies and heavy metals – these two consistencies indicate the root cause of where your conditions potentially began. Read my blog on why I have every client this test.
I suggest starting with a Single HTMA Package to see if this first will help resolve undesirable health symptoms. If you need more assistance or further testing is needed, you may apply for my 6-Month Advanced Nutrition Package.
What can I expect once I sign up?
Once you apply to become a new client, I will send you a link to book a free 20-minute call to decide if you are a good fit for the program. If I am not the right fit for you, I will try my best to point you in the right direction.
I will email you a starter package if you are a good fit. This will take you to your own client portal where all your documents will be available to fill out.
Next, I will ask you to submit a hair sample to complete the HTMA test. You will receive this package in the mail with instructions. Once these are completed and your results are returned, you will be instructed to book your first initial call with me via Zoom. This first call will take 1.5 hours and will include your recommendations, as well as your lab results from your HTMA test.
Follow-up calls last around 45 minutes each and are used to go over lab results and give you lifestyle, food, and supplement recommendations. You have unlimited questions and access to me during the 3 months after our initial consultation in your client portal. After that, I will be strictly available through email.
Is there a specific diet you have to follow?
There is no one-size-fits-all diet! I am very anti-restriction unless there is an allergy or intolerance. I like to focus more on adding in the most nutrient-dense foods possible, while still enjoying carbs, sugar, and processed food (depending on your goals).
Are meal plans included?
Yes! I have created recipes and basic meal plans for those who need help getting started. These are included in every plan but are completely optional for you to use as needed.
What symptoms or issues have you worked with?
I specialize in gut health, mental wellness, addiction, women's health, and boosting the metabolism. The most common symptoms I help clients with include chronic bloating, migraines, restless sleep/insomnia, adult acne, lethargy, anxiety, depression, and unexplained weight gain.
Will I gain or lose weight?
Clients often experience weight changes while working with me. If you run on stress hormones and follow a low-calorie, low-carb, low-sugar lifestyle, you might initially gain some “safety weight.” When your body starts receiving the nutrients it needs, it often stores all calories at first. This reaction is usually short-term and typically resolves within 100 days.
If you've already gained some “safety weight” and have struggled to lose it through traditional “diet and exercise” methods, there's a good chance that weight loss can be achieved.
However, it's important to note that this program is not specifically a weight loss program. Achieving weight loss or gain involves various factors, including hormone balance, addressing nutrient deficiencies, stress reduction, proper movement, caloric intake, and even body dysmorphia. These are all topics covered in each package to support your overall health journey.
How can I contact you during our time working together?
I use a platform called Practice Better to contact all clients. Once you are accepted as a new client and payment is confirmed, you will receive a link to your personal portal within that communication platform. I do not answer DMs or give medical advice on any platform.
What is an HTMA Lab Test?
The Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) is a crucial tool for understanding your body's mineral and heavy metal levels. By analyzing a small sample of hair, HTMA provides a comprehensive snapshot of your metabolic health, uncovering imbalances and toxicities that might not be evident through traditional blood tests.
Minerals are essential for numerous bodily functions, including enzyme activity, hormone production, and nerve function. Imbalances can contribute to various health issues such as fatigue, depression, anxiety, and digestive problems. HTMA testing helps identify these imbalances, enabling targeted nutritional and lifestyle interventions to restore optimal health.
Incorporating HTMA into your health plan allows for a more personalized approach, ensuring you receive the specific nutrients your body needs to function at its best.
Are there refunds available if I don’t see results?
Due to the nature of our sessions, the educational information, and the labs given within the programs, I do not offer refunds.
Can I buy extra sessions with you if I need them?
At this time, I only offer extra sessions on a limited basis. If you are interested, please inquire during our time working together or contact me via email.
